Rationality means using reason to stay safe from deviation in thought. The importance of rationality increases when it is used to influence human decisions on society. To avoid errors in thinking, it is necessary to know the principles and foundations of rationality, which is achieved by identifying correct patterns. One of the prominent models of rationality in the current era is the thoughts of Ayatollah Khamenei, who is one of the jurists and students of the Ahl al-Bayt school and the helmsman of the Islamic system, who based on the principles of religious rationality have had a significant impact on the guidance and governance of society. Using library resources and descriptive and analytical methods, this research examines the concept and scope of theoretical rationality from the perspective of His Holiness, and explains its differences with non-religious rationality, and seeks to show the theoretical foundations of rationality in his thought. The findings of this research show that rationality, point of view, has authority and credibility in the theoretical part due to its convergence with the natural needs of human beings.
